GOC Service Update - Tuesday, January 28th, 2013 at 14:00 UTC

The GOC will upgrade the following services beginning Tuesday, January 28th, 2013 at 14:00 UTC. The GOC reserves 8 hours in the unlikely event that unexpected problems are encountered. We encourage users to test affected services before the production release.

OASIS

Updating grid-mapfile updater to allow same user(DN) to be listed for multiple VOs (OO-20)

OIM

(DB Update) All host certificate request records with approver VO ID not set will be reset based on CNs and current configuration of GridAdmin table.

MyOSG 2.20

Minor cosmetic update on Resource Group / downtime page.
Filtered disabled contact on vooasisuser
Fixed the issue where contact model does not return all DNs. Updated HTML/XML to return list of DNs instead of a single DN.

RSV collector - rsv1.grid.iu.edu (1.13.10-1.1.osg.el6)

(Re-try from last week’s update aborted)
Upgrading to version 1.13.10
(already applied) Increased tomcat memory size to 2G/512M-perm to prevent GC out of memory problem, and increased OS memory size to 8G.

OSG Homepage

Currently, /pub URLs such as https://www.opensciencegrid.org/twiki/pub/Security/PKIDocumentationIndex/DigiCert_Grid_API_August_2012.pdf are not forwarded to Twiki. Fixing RewriteRule to forward such URLs.

Repo (repo-itb/repo1/repo2.grid.iu.edu)

Updating the mirror script to add connection timeout and locking

All Services

There will be OS updates; reboots will be required. Downtime should be minimal, and the usual high-availability mechanisms will be used to reduce service downtime even further and eliminate it in most cases. However, services may experience degraded performance, and the services without HA mechanisms (OIM and Twiki) will still experience brief downtimes.
