BDII Outage During Maintenance Window

During today's Operations Service upgrades the OSG BDII machines did not return as expected. The OSG BDII was unavailable from 16:10 UTC until 17:04 UTC. This maintenance was expected to be transparent as announced in the change log sent via mail and posted at http://osggoc.blogspot.com/2011/05/goc-service-update-tuesday-may-24th-at.html.

This was due to a system level update that included an OpenLDAP update that was not compatible with the BDII software. OpenLDAP was reverted and BDII is now fully functional.

Fixed the way GOC Accessor handles errors while contacting GOC ticket to decide who to assign a ticket to. Also improved the error message to make it clear which assignee has been assigned as as alternative if the error occurs.
Added a default OriginNote setter for RTAccessor::get to be more consistent with other accessors.
Added Ticket ID to the GGUS2FP convert.
Added GGUS source ticket ID and more verbose information whenever GGUS passes invalid Resource / Resource Group values.
Added ticket exchange origin information for all updates made to GOC Ticket / Footprints

OSG Gratia service DNS Change

The servers that serve the Open Science Grid Gratia service will have their network
IP addresses changed on Friday, May 13 beginning at approximately 9:30 a.m. Work is
anticipated to finish by 10:30 a.m. but may last until 12 p.m.

The reporting servers will change first and then the gratia collectors. An OSG Gratia
reporting capacity should be available for most of this time due to high-availability
services. The OSG Gratia collection capacity is configured to catch up automatically
after any downtime.
